Big or small, outdoors have a special place in our house. From being the perfect chai spot to a bonfire night, outdoors are all love. But we forget that they need as much love as our living room or bedroom.

Life's too short to have boring outdoors,

here are 5 MUST HAVES!

NUMBER ONE: Go prints on the floor

With hardly any scope for walls, floor is the only hard surface we have when it comes to outdoors - your creative playground. Abstract, minimal, geometric- choose what resonates best with your space and let the pattern take over.

Corner to corner or a patch, the print adds on to the aesthetics and breaks the monotony. You can even blend it with wooden flooring and create a pocket complimenting the masculinity of a wooden deck.

TIP: Too much hassle? Bring in outdoor rugs with patterns and place them to create pockets on your floor.

NUMBER TWO: Add green under your feet

Outdoors are all about greens! Adding green patches to your floor can help you bring softness in your space.Best case scenario – keep it natural. With its earthy scent and the joy of being close to nature, bless yourself with a morning tea in your own little lawn.

Too much hassle? Bring in turfs! Cheap - Easily available - Easy to maintain

NUMBER THREE: Add furniture

Apart from bringing in comfort and satisfy the use of a space, furniture adds value and aesthetics to the space.Cane or wicker furniture with colourful cushion ties - textures and colours.

As much as bringing in furniture is always an option, built in seating ( with the floor material running to make a seating) add earthiness. Also, don't restrict yourself to just tables and chairs - benches, pouf, recliners, floor cushions - get them all!

Also hammocks are a must must :D

NUMBER FOUR: Walls and Corners are equally important

We usually forget our walls and corners when styling our outdoors, missing out on giving an outline and depth to the space.

Add greens, colour and murals to your walls - bring in your vibe.

It is never too green, so don't hesitate to add plants - but keep them for the corners - to have a clear view in the length of your balcony.

NUMBER FIVE: Lighting

Most most most important!

A proper lighting can bring out the best of any given place. As much as direct and technical lighting is important, ambient lighting adds on to the mood and ambience of the space.

If you have scope - uplighter, focus lights, wall lamps, passage lights, wall washers - they can do magic to even a basic outdoor space.

Other than this, lanterns and floor lamps, help create mood and enhance the aesthetics.

Add these fives and give a makeover to your outdoors!

P.S Every detail counts!
